HLS -Policy needs to be underpinned by evidence from research, yet communicating the outcomes of research projects to policy makers is not easy. The SCOOP project seeks to support the efforts of the research community to reach policy makers and facilitate the flow of information from the research community to other interested audiences, thereby supporting evidence-based policy making.
SCOOP has two key strands:
- News Alert Service on Socio-economic and Humanities Research for Policy – this monthly news service provides a platform for dissemination of research findings from EU projects funded through the 6th and 7th Framework Programmes. The news service is designed to reach policy makers and the media. Download News Alert Service Flyer.
- Communication Masterclasses – seven workshops which will help you increase the impact of your policy and communications efforts. The Masterclasses are being developed specifically for social science and humanities (SSH) researchers.
A brochure about the SCOOP project is available here.
SCOOP: Socio-economic Sciences: Communicating Outcomes Oriented to Policy is supported by the European Union under the Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities 7th Framework Programme for Research.
Project duration: October 2009 - September 2012.
